Indian Film & TV Producers Council at its meeting has decided to launch a Special Drive to ensure that the Covid specific SOP is implemented in true spirit. Exactly a year back the Film & Tv Industry had unilaterally had stopped shootings.

The growing cases of Covid has pushed the Maharashtra State back to the situation existing during the peak days. Concerned by the growing incidence all over, IFTPC has embarked on a mission of self-introspection and inspection to ensure that the SOP are implemented without any leakages.

Mr. JD Majethia Chairman TV-Web emphasized that the permission to shoot was obtained by the Council after a long struggle and any non-implementation of the sacred SOP may force the government to order cessation of shootings. He insisted that all the Producers shall visit their sets immediately and carry a thorough check.  Mr. Nitin Vaidya Director-IFTPC said that the wellbeing of the industry lays in total observance of the government guidelines. He also complimented the fraternity for overall submitting the SOP which has resulted in very fewer cases in the industry. He also urged the Broadcasters to ensure that the periodicity of their Inspectors visit to the sets in increased and Producers prevailed upon to the meticulous implementation of the SOPs.
