SIAM to host its 12th Lecture Series on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles in India: Development, Testing & Homologation



New Delhi, 23rd April 2021: After the grand success of Global Electrification Mobility Summit 2020 held in conjunction with Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 and Future Mobility Summit 2021, the auto industry apex body, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is taking its ‘walk the talk’ campaign of electric mobility, forward. In this context, SIAM will be hosting a lecture on Hybrid & Electric Vehicles in India: Development, Testing & Homologation on 26th April, 3 pm - 5 pm, on a virtual platform.

The intent of the lecture is to drill down into the technical aspects of development, testing and homologation of hybrid and electric vehicles. The lecture will be conducted in two sessions. The first session would comprise of a panel discussion with eminent industry leaders from India and around the world discussing on the theme “Electric Vehicles for India & Technology Adoption” and will witness participation from Mr Mahesh Babu, Chairman, SIAM Electric Mobility Group, Mr Nitin Seth, COO, Switch Mobility, Ashok Leyland, Dr Raji Mathai, Director, ARAI , Mr Claas Bracklo, Senior Consultant Electromobility, VDA & Chairman, Char.IN (Germany), Mr Kannan Subramanian Vittilapuram ,Head, Project House Electrification, Bosch Automotive Electronics India and others to give a broader perspective on the theme.

The second session of the lecture would be technical presentations/papers from JBM Auto, TATA Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor etc. and will be on the theme “Drill down of Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Homologation”.

The 12th lecture series will highlight the importance of testing and evaluation standards and homologation aspects of electric two-wheelers, four-wheelers & buses thereby making a deep dive into what it entails to be an electrified automobile to be road-worthy and suave performance.

The event can be attended by registering through SIAM website before 26th April 2021.
